The Degree programme is for players who want both. A university-level qualification and continued competitive football coaching in Yorkshire - not one at the expense of the other. We work with partner institutions to build a schedule that makes both viable.

About the programme
The Degree programme is built for players aged 18 and over who want both a university-level qualification and continued competitive football - not one at the expense of the other. We work with partner institutions to build a schedule that makes both viable.
A typical week involves training sessions focused on technical and tactical development, with fixtures throughout the season against genuine opposition. Players are coached by UEFA-licensed staff and receive a written progress report each term.
The programme is designed to sit alongside university study. Training and fixtures are scheduled around lectures and coursework, so players aren't forced to choose between their degree and their football.
Players who show consistent progress and the right attitude are considered for progression towards Pro Elite United FC. That conversation is always honest and always driven by what's right for the player.

What we offer
01 / Coaching
Every session is led by UEFA-licensed coaches with experience at semi-professional level. Sessions are planned with individual development in mind - not just the team outcome.
02 / Curriculum
Every week follows a structured curriculum covering technical development, tactical understanding, and physical progression, appropriate for players competing at a senior standard alongside university study.
03 / Fixtures
Development without competition is incomplete. Players take part in a full fixture schedule against genuine regional opposition throughout the season. The standard is high because that's the only environment where real growth happens.
04 / Pathways
The Degree programme isn't a dead end - it's a bridge into senior football. Players who show progress and reach an elite level are considered for Pro Elite United FC, our first team in the Yorkshire Amateur League Supreme Division. That conversation is always honest and led by the player's best interest.
05 / Balance
Sessions run in evenings and weekends, scheduled around lectures and coursework. Education comes first - and we mean that. Players shouldn't be forced to choose between their degree and their football, and with us, they don't have to.
06 / Community
Pro Elite is built on relationships. Players, parents, coaches, and clubs that have come through our programmes stay connected. The environment we create is one players want to be part of - not just one they tolerate for the football.
What players gain
Every player receives a detailed written report each term covering technical, tactical, physical, and mental development with honest coaching notes.
Players who are ready are put forward towards Pro Elite United FC. The conversation is honest and the criteria are clear - it's never based on preference.
A full fixture calendar against genuine opposition. Players compete regularly throughout the season - not just in training matches or friendlies.
What players say
I graduated from the scholarship programme, so the degree felt like the natural next step. I'm in my second year now and it's just good to still be inside football while I study.
A genuinely professional, life-changing programme. It's allowed our son - formerly of a professional club - to study for a degree and play football at a high level, and he now has real opportunities and pathways for life ahead of him.
